The past month made me realize how much I want to share. Due to the lack of current computer efficiency I prefer to learn some basic tools to work a blog and return soon
Want to share about the things that matter to all suffering with chronic illness. I will post about the recent nightmare within the medical community that gave me the inspiration for this blog. It is a scary place when after HAVING COLON SURGERY YOUR MEDICARE MANAGED PHARMACY refuses to fill your pain medication that you have responsibly taken for the past 19 years. I have been an advocate for proper pain relief and when you find a compassionate doctor that actually understands the severity of your illness your insurance company pharmacy refuses to fill it when you need it most.
This matters to me. I will update my profile and share about the things that matter to all suffering with chronic illness after May 12 (our global awareness day). I will write more details about the above pharmacy situation and what I plan to do about it when I am stronger but....
As Mr L King from me/cfs alert said I want to know what matters to you...
Wow Kathryn!!!! Thank you for being the first visitor!! I am truly honored by your presence to our ME people matter blog!! Now I just need you to teach me how to work it?
Seriously you are the advocate extraordinare, so together we can make this work!
Lets talk about it after May 12 because thats what matters now. I will look forward to reading the letter. Please send it to gbettor@gmail.com so I can't delete it this time
Love g Btw already have broken left foot. Lol and thanks again for the encouragement.
Congratulations on taking the step of starting a blog for people who suffer from ME. I have been toying with the idea myself and maybe one day I will. There should be thousands of these blogs on the internet. The more the better. It gives us a voice and a place to express ourselves. Two very important elements. Good luck.:)
Hi Neil How are you feeling. I am very happy THE IACFS/ME made a downloadable primer for the doctors interested in treating ME patients. It really looks up to date. I like in the treatment section it actually lists pain medications that work. Drs Lapp, Bateman, Friedberg and other international specialists produced it with advocate extraordinare Pat Fero and others insights for realistic dx and treatment. They want it shared with as many interested parties as possible. Here is my first problem of not linking it yet but I will figure it out. Thanks for being my 2nd post. Peace n hugs g
Thank you for the comments. Maybe you can help me with ideas to make our lives matter to doctors, government officials and INSURANCE company pharmacy that refuses quality of life medication.
This idea for a blog started after I just had my mail away pharmacy refuse medications I have taken responsibly for ME for 19 years. I WAS SCREAMINGI INSIDE MY HEAD I MATTER! You can't suggest a medication I know I can't tolerate ...... and voila a new blog because we all MATTER!

I hope you will share how you resolved the problem: thru a complaint, a tantrum, an advocate, or whatever!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are doing this, Gina! The more Voices we have and hear, the more power we gain.
"Break a leg" and good luck!
